In the sports field, Tariq is ranked by Chambers and Partners UK in Band 1 as a leading Sports Barrister. He represents leading sportsmen and women as well as leading sports organizations including the Football Association, the Premier League, the British Equestrian Federation, the Lawn Tennis Association and the British Taekwondo Association.
Tariq is Chair of the new FA Anti-Discrimination Panel (created following the high profile cases involving John Terry and Luis Suarez), sits as a Rule K Arbitrator on the FA Arbitration Panel, and is also an Arbitrator on the Sport Resolutions Panel of Legal Arbitrators, hearing high-profile discipline, anti-doping and employment disputes.
